Rudra Awasthi

Rudra Awasthi is the driving force behind CGWall Media. With over 40 years of experience in the field of journalism, he brings a legacy of credibility and deep editorial insight to the platform. He ensures that the fundamental principles of reporting remain intact, even in the fast-paced world of digital sports news.

Professional Journey:

  • 1984: Began his career as a grassroots rural correspondent.

  • 1986-1991: Served as Sub-Editor for Dainik Lokswar and later Navbharat, refining his skills in print media.

  • 1987-2000: Worked as a Divisional Correspondent for the prestigious Indian Express Group’s national Hindi daily, Jansatta. During this tenure, he covered critical political developments and election analyses.

  • Broadcast & International Media: His diverse portfolio includes contributions to BBC News (1996), senior reporting for Sahara Samay (2003), and conducting exclusive literary interviews for Doordarshan (2002). He also served as an Announcer-Compere for All India Radio (AIR).

  • Digital Era: Recognizing the shift to digital, he founded CGWall.com to deliver real-time news with the depth of print journalism.

At CGWall Sports, Rudra oversees the broader editorial policy and handles legal and ethical compliance.

Bhaskar Mishra

Bhaskar Mishra leads the daily editorial operations of the newsroom. With approximately 16 years of experience across print, electronic, and web media, Bhaskar bridges the gap between traditional reporting and modern digital content strategies.

Professional Journey:

  • Education & Early Career: Developed a passion for journalism during college, starting with story and poetry writing before moving into hard news under the mentorship of senior journalists.

  • Print Media: Gained foundational experience as a Sub-Editor at Dainik Hari Bhoomi (2005-2008) and reported for established dailies like Deshbandhu and Navbharat.

  • Broadcast Media: Served in key editorial roles at ETV Hyderabad (2008-2011) and Grand News (2011-2013). He also held the responsibility of Bureau Chief for the National News Express channel (2013-2015).

  • Voice & Presentation: Like his mentor, Bhaskar also served as an Announcer-cum-Compere at All India Radio (1998-2000).

Currently, Bhaskar manages the sports desk, coordinating with US-based writers to ensure timely coverage of the NFL, NBA, and global sporting events.
