AI Usage Policy
At CGWall Sports, we embrace technology as a tool to enhance our journalism, but we believe that the heart of sports reporting lies in human emotion, analysis, and expertise.
As AI technologies (such as Large Language Models and Generative AI) become prevalent in digital media, we are committed to full transparency regarding how we use—and do not use—these tools in our newsroom.
1. Core Principle: Human-First Journalism
Humans remain at the center of our storytelling.
-
Writing: Our articles, opinion pieces, and match analyses are written by human authors (our team of US-based analysts and Indian editors). We do not publish stories that are entirely generated by AI without substantial human editing and oversight.
-
Voice: AI cannot replicate the passion of a buzzer-beater or the nuance of a post-game interview. We rely on our writers’ unique voices to connect with our audience.
2. How We May Use AI (Acceptable Use)
We use AI technologies as an assistant, not a replacement. Our writers and editors may use AI tools for the following tasks:
-
Research Assistance: To quickly summarize historical stats, player data, or complex rulebooks.
-
Editing & Grammar: Using tools (like Grammarly or spell-checkers) to improve sentence structure, fix typos, and ensure readability.
-
Idea Generation: Brainstorming headlines, SEO keywords, or interview questions.
-
Data Formatting: Converting raw sports data into readable tables or lists for our articles.
-
Transcription: Using AI to transcribe audio from press conferences or interviews (which are then verified by a human).
3. What We Do Not Do (Prohibited Use)
To maintain our editorial integrity and E-E-A-T (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) standards, we strictly prohibit:
-
Publishing Unverified AI Content: We do not copy-paste text directly from AI chatbots (like ChatGPT or Gemini) into our CMS.
-
AI Hallucinations: We are aware that AI can invent facts (“hallucinate”). Therefore, AI is never used as the primary source for factual claims. All facts are verified against trusted sources.
-
Automated Opinion: AI does not have opinions. All editorials and commentary reflect the views of the human author named in the byline.
4. AI-Generated Images
If we use an image that has been generated by Artificial Intelligence (e.g., for a feature story illustration or abstract concept):
-
It will be clearly labeled in the image caption (e.g., “Image generated via AI tools”).
-
We will not use AI to create fake images of real events or realistic depictions of athletes that could mislead the public (Deepfakes).
5. Accountability
Ultimately, CGWall Media takes full responsibility for all content published on our website.
-
If an error occurs due to an AI tool, we treat it as an editorial error. We will correct it promptly in accordance with our Corrections Policy.
-
Our editors (Rudra Awasthi & Bhaskar Mishra) review content to ensure it meets our quality standards before publication.
6. Transparency
If an article has heavily relied on AI for data compilation or analysis, we will include a disclosure at the bottom of the article.
This article utilized AI tools for statistical analysis, which was reviewed and verified by Emily Carter.”

If you suspect that an article on our site violates this policy or appears to be unedited AI spam, please report it to us immediately.
